Theres another model I feel youve not touched upon here. This is after all Amazon Delivery Month and the brick and mortar locations that best suit Amazons needs are currently being bolstered by our own Govt, we call them Post Offices. Amazon dont want an Argos or an Index they want a Royal Mail they want to make sure post strikes dont deter people from shopping at Amazon. With a suite of Royal Mail franchises under their belt they can avoid delivery lockout. Now where did I leave my tin foil hat.
if pure retailers are beginning to come round to 'web exceptionalism'then maybe pure online players are beginning to see the reverse. the altter, amazon are standing up and beginning to take notice of things like:
