Sorry Apple, I'm Not Biting
Yawn...snooze...duh...Sorry Apple, I'm no longer willing to spend $500 to $800 (plus numerous monthly fees) for a device that costs around $107-plus dollars to manufacture and market. The economics just don't make sense when I have a netbook, smartphone, and a much larger choice of smart software that does the same or better job (at a much less initial and longterm cost) for my everyday business and personal needs. Moreover, I'm not into pretentious corporate hype and sheepish brand loyalty. I'm into flexibility, productivity and sustainability when it comes to my tech gear for work, play or both — rather than closed technology. More than that, I could care less about being among the first zombies in line or on my block to buy this year's latest soon-to-be obsolete techno-junk. I'm no longer a twenty-something with throw-away money. I used Apple products back in the 90s, and soon grew tired of engaging the growing cult of snobby-pretentious-elitist geeks that worship anything with an Apple logo — as well as the functional limitations of Apple's closed and quirky architecture. However, I'm not opposed to buying $500 to $800 worth of Apple stock — considering the herd consumer dupes believing the hype, and will spend THEIR money on your products. P.S: My wife, who knows best, says i-Slate or Zlate would have worked better than i-Pad. Dennis Moore — Publisher — POTUSworld.com — ppceo@POTUSworld.com |
