Ho ho, not bad.
Not on style (iPad aside) this 'white people' riff you've adopted is piss-poor. 1) It's reminiscent of words like 'bourgeois' in which the user tacitly claimed non-bourgeois credibility simply by using the word. As you will recall, it was a term used exclusively, prophylactically even, by people who feared they might be bourgeois enough to need to mention it. Are you white? 2) The "white people" tag is just inverse radical chic, therefore dull. And being incompetently branded, has the added unpleasant tang of race politics to the usual stew of confusion. I understand home contrarians like yourself need helpful cognitive hooks, but you should find sharper weaponry. Better still, make your own. Pip pip! |
