Ian Delany asked us to
publicise this....
A large fire at the Harrow campus of the University of Westminster on Saturday June 30 caused severe damage to NMK’s web servers, rendering them unusable. While we have backups of the site’s content (over 700 articles), it currently has nowhere to live.
We have decided to use this as an opportunity to revamp NMK to add some of the niceties that have become commonplace since the old site was commissioned in 2002. This is planned to include RSS, better accessibility, easier navigation and multimedia, among other features. The work has been started and the new site is planned to go live at the end of August.
In the mean time, NMK will be publicising forthcoming events and courses and publishing articles on the temporary site linked to above - and will move them onto the new build when it comes online.
Well, thats one way of migrating from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0...will try it on our next client
