LOLFatcats Caption Competition

For those following the Northern Rock debacle, there is much to learn from the Citizen Media coverage.

However, this note, from the Grauniad, pretty much says it all about how red in tooth and claw banking really is when the going gets tough - the tough get bailed out by the meek, and:

The bank also came under fire for plans to press ahead with a £60m handout to its investors next week despite its delicate financial position.

I was strongly reminded of some of the fat cat pictures in LolCats, the obvious strapline is:

"I can has ur money......an' ur taxes"

If u can haz a better caption then u can has put it in our comments - winner gets a cheezburger to eat in the queue......

Alan,

Good to have met you last night at the Social Media Club. I though your Northern Rock example was very interesting / important in terms of showing how the mass can do a better job of providing information that the specialists (i.e. the media). However, it also highlighted what for me is the key issue - how to you make the collective / aggregated viewpoint easily visible or accessible.

Would be good to continue the discussion.

Likewise good to meet you Richard.....as discussed, we have been working on technology to make the aggregated view - the "zeitgeist" - more visible and won a BBC Innovation award earlier this year to take it further.

Will comment some more on your blogsite.....
