Oh Joy (Not) - Mobiles on Planes

The BBC reports that there are plans to allow mobiles on phones.. It will of course be more expensive.

The only thing I like about being on trains where there are a**eholes who talk loudly all journey is that by and large my journeys are seldom more than an hour. If I had to sit next to one of those turkeys all the way to New York I reckon I'd commit murder by mealtime.

I thought getting rid of smoke pollution on planes was a good thing, but to replace it with inane babble at top volume seems a real regressive step.

Am I the only one who doesn't want mobiles on planes?
