Smart devices and dumb customers

SanDisk has invented a Flash-using black box that allows you to save PC videos and play them on TV. It costs $150.

All very good stuff, but if people just bought TVs with VGA input this would be unnecessary - I have a very good Philips flatscreen here that does this straight from the laptop or PC.
