We need a few UK exits to get another generation of experience and enthusiasm into the cycle I think.
Yes, although good exits come from good funding, so there is a bit of a catch 22 there.
On the bright side, being a UK tech start up now is much easier that it was a decade ago. There are angels around, although not as many as in the valley, and there are start up veterans able to help. The challenge remains in connecting these folks and enabling them to communicate effectively. That is something I saw happen well in the Valley, but still not here in the UK. |
