Google, Comscore, Alexa - why bother with any of them?

Today apparently Google poured scorn on Comscare's measurements. Yesterday Alexa announced a new mystic heuristic.

I don't know about you, but I find all 3 differ from each other, and they all differ from our blog's own stat counter and awstats, which our web hoster uses. Awstats and our own blog stats are fairly similar, so I tend to believe them.

what about Compete and Google Analytics?

I'd love to see more sites does side-by-side reviews. Especially newspaper sites, who often add ABC and/or Nielsen to the mix. See just what the variance is. So much web-strat and share trading is being done on what seem to be conflicting, inaccurate datasets. Time we knew just how inaccurate, and what the individual biases are with each

Quantcast is the only analytic service that is accurate and that is if a site allows their script.
